Lincolnshire Waterways Partnership Evaluation
In 2008/2009 The Planning Company undertook a review of the first five years of the Lincolnshire Waterways Partnership. The evaluation looked back at the work undertaken and provided a report to funding bodies at the end of the current European funding stream. This work was undertaken in association with Jim Langridge Countryside Consulting www.countrysideconsulting.co.uk
The review icomprised a series of structured surveys to gauge the views of a wide range of interested parties on the projects that have been undertaken. These included - · 5000 postal surveys of Newsletter Readers, with over 1400 responses · A survey of user groups · A survey of local businesses relate to the waterways · A survey of key partner organisations including local authorities · 3 Focus Groups in Lincoln, Boston and Spalding · Attendance at 2 public events
All the surveys were analysed and a report prepared. The evaluation showed that the majority of people in Lincolnshire are very positive about the work of the Partnership and the consensus is that it has been good value for money.
The findings were presented at a Workshop that was facilitated by The Planning Company in association with Facilitating People Ltd www.facilitatingpeople.co.uk
