Diverse businesses in running for awards

FOUR diverse companies from Malvern are in the running to receive prestigious business awards.

Malvern Instruments. Borwell, Txtlocal and Cherington HR Ltd are in the running for this year’s Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, which will be announced in just under a fortnight’s time.

Materials characterisation specialist Malvern Instruments has been shortlisted for the international business of the year category, and also the large business of the year award, where it faces stiff competition from Webbs and West Midlands Safari Park.

Borwell, which provides IT consultancy, professional business process improvement services, e-commerce projects and custom software solutions, is in the running for the innovation through technology award.

Thriving SMS text message service Txtlocal will compete in the growth business of the year category and people management service Cherington HR is in the running for the service excellence award.

All four firms have been invited to attend a spectacular awards ceremony at West Midlands Safari Park, in Bewdley on Thursday, June 10.
They will be hoping to repeat the success enjoyed by local businesses at last year’s awards, which saw a host of winners from Malvern and Ledbury.

These included Dytecna Ltd, which was named joint winner of large business of the year and Ledbury’s Universal Beverages Ltd, the growth business of the year.
