Job Tracker
Many businesses use Excel spreadsheets, paper T-Cards and paper files to organise information about projects, jobs, customers, sales and tasks. The main problems with using paper include:

  • Inability to collaborate - can't share the same form
  • Finding information is slow - can't search for paper or search within a paper folder
  • Configuration Management - who has the master version?
  • Inability to access the paper documents remotely
  • Easily lost or accidentally shredded
  • Environmental impact - paper, ink, staples and paperclips

Our team have helped several businesses develop an electronic Job Tracker to help move from paper to e-collaboration.

What do we do?

What we do is simple. We capture the current Business Processes, and design a software solution to deliver these online in a 'web app'. What's more, forms and templates are now semi or even fully populated. Our team can even send SMS Text messages and e-mails automatically from the software!

Give some real examples of benefits?

Recently we helped a business automate their Purchase Order Request letter. Prior to our help they were manually creating these in Word. We now fully automate these and email the document as a PDF attachment. This freed up 10% of their Operations Manager's time - half a day a week per week!

As we design the project, we find that staff are stimulated and contribute ideas big and small. Along the journey many interesting quirks of the business arise. As the system goes live staff are enthused, involved, and a lot happier as 'something has been done' by the management of the business and the result is a win-win.

What sort of budget do we need?

The businesses that we target are fast growing Small businesses, and Medium sized businesses. These have typically a technical or product offering, and have outgrown their original systems and tools.

To undertake a project of this size you need a budget and a clear set of requirements. We will provide a detailed quote, as the cost depends on the complexity and demands of your business. There are no software licence or maintenance costs as the project is dedicated to your business. Therefore, ensure this is taken into account in budgeting and ROI calculations when comparing against off the shelf systems.
